Termite Infestation |
||||
Common termite infestation and damage areas Subterranean termites are very common in Hong Kong. Most of their nest are located in the underground and they used to forage through soil or concrete cracks. Tunnels (Called mud tubes) are mainly built by their saliva and excretion, it aims to protect them from other predators and maintain the optimum temperature and humidity.
Swarming season happens from March to October annually. Several waves of flying termites (alates) will fly out during the swarming season and carry their responsibility. Their wings will be laid off and they will start to find their partners and favored area for mating and build up a new colony. That’s the reason why termite’s wings are good evidences for us to determine whether termite infestation exists or not.

Our termiticide does not have any flushing effect to them, they may directly contact with the termiticide once they forage into a treated area. Their foraging habit will be highly affected by the termiticide of losing its localization function and they will stop eating. Besides, they will also stop to clean the mold on its body and finally death by the infestation of mold. Spores will be formed on the dead bodies which threaten other live termites and gradually reduce the population of the termite colony. The termiticide we use is stainless, odourless, and will not remain in the air which is safe for prevention and elimination.
Small holes will be drilled to all wooden fixtures and termiticide will be pressured spray to eliminate the infestation and create a protection layer to the treated areas
Foundation treatment before construction and renovation stage Most of the hidden concrete gaps will be exposed during the renovation which provide a best chance for us to pressure sprayed and injected termiticide to these origins for building up a more effective protective layer to lower the threats of termite intrusion.
termite bait | ||||
Baiting stations will be installed to different areas.
Regular checking will be performed to all installed baiting stations.
Termite activity and consumption have been found inside the stations.
Termite workers will be recruited to the baiting stations for further bait consumption and transfer to the colony.
The colony is finally eliminated.
Sentricon In Ground Stations and the monitoring device
Sentricon In Ground Stations will be installed to all drilled holes.
Regular checking will be performed to all installed Sentricon In Ground Stations
The monitoring device will be replace with the Recruit IV Bait tube for elimination once enough termites have been found inside the station.
Termite workers will be recruited to the baiting stations for further bait consumption and transfer to the colony until the elimination of the whole colony. |
